This July, four current Pacific Northwest Tech Bridge business clients pitched their cutting edge technologies to Navy personnel and other interested parties at an invite-only event held virtually on July 11.
The companies, Astraeus Ocean Systems, Air Energy, HyperBlox, and Ultrasea, had worked with Tech Bridge advisors over the past several months to hone their messaging and determine their best path to navigate government contracting and secure further funding. In preparation for the “Meet the Connectors” pitch event, Tech Bridge advisors met with each business and provided individualized coaching on Quad Chart and pitch deck preparation, and messaging.
Each company shared their innovative autonomous technology, and answered questions about how they can help the US Navy now and in the future. Navy partners in attendance then had the opportunity to ask questions about the technologies, suggest outlets for funding and next steps, and share contact information to ensure continued communication.
Several of the presenting companies had been introduced to the NWTB by Navy personnel who want to see the technologies implemented in the field, but lack the funding capacity to do so under their commands.
NavalX Tech Bridges can help with this. Tech Bridges around the world are embedded in local startup and scale up ecosystems to scout relevant technology, match it to Naval needs, and provide nontraditional companies with resources to more easily work with the Department of the Navy. The PNWTB can leverage its partnerships and ecosystem to assist in matching these companies with potential funding sources.
